To Fight Smoking Addiction, Price of Cigarettes Must Go Up

Click to Enlarge!In RA Deputy Minister of Healthcare Tatul Hakobyan’s opinion, the best way to fight a smoking addiction is to raise the price of cigarettes.

“In Europe, one pack of cigarettes is sold for 5 dollars or 5 euro, whil here [in our country], it’s quite cheap,” said Hakobyan during a press conference yesterday.

The deputy minister said that though there exists a national program on combatting smoking, it hasn’t received the expected results.
