Georgia will join the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
The decision will be approved by voting at the forthcoming parliament session, as the economy committee already gave its consent. The initiative will enable Georgia to attract funds for renewable energy projects. International Renewable Energy Agency was created in 2008 and next year 75 organizations joined it. If the parliament approves the decision, Georgia should pay annual membership fee of €235 that will enable the country to enjoy agency’s benefits.
