Istanbul court issued writ against seven Turkish militaries

Click to Enlarge!Istanbul court issued a writ against seven out of nearly 50 incumbent and retired generals arrested on a charge of planning a coup.

According to Turkish media, among arrested are two incumbent admirals, three retired admirals and two generals.

They all charged with use of force in an attempt of staging coup d’etat. The court made decision on release of six servicemen.

49 high ranking military officials, including 21 generals and 27 high ranking officers were arrested on February 22.

Sledgehammer action plan comprised 4 clauses and after their implementation coup d’etat would be staged.

The plan envisaged explosion of a mosque at the Friday prayer, landing of fighter aircrafters in Aegean Sea.

The mentioned actions had to reveal weaknesses of ruling Justice and Development party.
