The European Commission has awarded a €7m grant for SMB development in six countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), including Armenia.
The funds under the 3-year East-Invest program will be available from this May. James Wilson, Director of the Ukraine-EU Business Council, informed RBK-Ukraina that the program is aimed at facilitating regional development and intensifying regional trade by improving business environment in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The funds are intended for projects facilitating the CIS-EU cooperation and direct foreign investments.
