NKR Defense Army is in constant combat readiness

NKR Defense Army is in constant combat readiness and can break off encroachments of the enemy at any moment, NKR Defense Minister Lieutenant General Movses Hakobyan said commenting on the current situation on NKR Azerbaijani armed forces’ contact line.

According to him, Azerbaijan regularly breaks ceasefire in Karabakh conflict zone. Last week eighty-seven ceasefire violations from Azerbaijani side were registered on Karabakh-Azerbaijani contact line.

As a result, NKR Defense Army officer Artyom Sahakyan got injured during the shoot up on Verin Chaylu.

According to NKR Defense Ministry, since the established truce in May 1994, Azerbaijani side fires at Karabakhi positions from different small arms and sniper rifles, including RPG-7 and long range rifle Black Arrow.
