Digitized manuscripts available in new Matenadaran building

Click to Enlarge!New building of Matenadaran (Institute of Ancient Manuscripts) offers large reading rooms where visitors can familiarize themselves with digitized manuscripts, Gurgen Gasparyan, IT and Publishing Advisor to the Director of Matenadaran told.

Opening of new building is scheduled for beginning of 2011.

“New building is of high functionality and new comptuer labs will offer the literature,” said Gasparyan, adding that copying of digitized manuscripts is not allowed.

The readers can study digital catalogue available on Matenadaran website and order a manuscript, however examination of manuscripts will be possible on the territory of Matenadaran only.
