 Each year the World DJ Fund has a full week of fundraising which cumulates in World DJ Day on March 9. On that day, different DJs from around the world pledge their one night’s fees for different charities.
Clubs, promoters, record labels, and other members of the dance community also contribute. It’s already been a few years that a number of well-known TV and radio stations — such as MTV, Radio 1, Galaxy, Mixmag, DJ, Muzik, Hello, Face, Loaded and FHM — have joined the fundraising efforts. The main organizers of the events are World DJ Fund and Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy (in the UK). Armenian DJs will also be participating in this year’s efforts.
