Turkish Authorities and Opposition Unified Against Armenian Genocide Resolution

Click to Enlarge!Foreign Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoğlu thanked the Turkish opposition for its support in the fight against the US congressional resolution on Armenian Genocide adopted on March 4 by the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

At a meeting with Turkish parliamentary delegation members, who had gone to Washington with the aim of thwarting the adoption of the above-mentioned resolution, Davutoğlu expressed his gratitude for the fight carried out jointly by the Turkish authorities and the opposition.

“It’s very important that our parliament acted unanimously for an issue essential to our nation. Our authorities and opposition put up a joint fight for which I am grateful. I wish our unity will continue for the further process, too,” said Davutoğlu.
